Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory capacity! Wow!!! It may be the devil or it may be the Lord, but you are going to serve somebody. Is there a third choice? Think about it. Wisdom has two parts: 1) Having a lot to say. 2) Not saying it. I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't, and die to find out there is. Your beliefs and actions are shaped by the audience to whom you choose to play. Thoughts become actions, actions become habits, habits become character, and character determines your fate. As you think, so you become.External choices reflect internal priorities. Actions speak louder than words. Don't cut your nose off to spite your face. This is describing a needless self-destructive over-reaction to a perceived problem. Pursuing revenge in a way that damages yourself more than the object of your anger. God will not save anyone He cannot rule. (submit to Him). Faith is the bridge between my present place and where God is taking me. Where else will you always hear the truth [speaking of God's word]? Will your so-called friends be truthful with you always? The one that tells you the truth, truly cares about you! Think that over. The worldly view of mercy permits a man to continue indefinitely in his wickedness and dishonesty without repentance, much to Satan's delight. In other words, I can do what I want, let's party on, a real popular attitude in some circles. So, is it truly merciful to watch someone continue in his wickedness without at least warning them about what is at stake? Might be something to think about. The evil deeds of people abound where God and His ways are absent! Watch the news if you need visual proof. Study the Bible, completely, yourself. How else will you know if someone is telling you the truth?Use God's standards to discern truth, not man's standards. Completely means, cover to cover, book by book, chapter by chapter and verse by verse. There is little to no hope for anyone who does not turn from the temptations of the world and plead with Christ for help. Study His Word as though your life depended on it, and obey the plain teachings of Scripture. God is extremely patient. He wants all to repent. 2 Peter 3:9. Why wait till all else fails? Read the instructions first, the Bible! You can't find truth if you aren't looking for truth! The Bible is where you find that truth. God looks at things from a holy, eternal perspective. We look at things from a sinful, earthly, and temporary perspective. We humans can't see and understand what God can. Plain and simple. We look for those faults in others, we most dislike in ourselves. Clean up your own act first, with God's help of course. [Matthew 7:3-5; Luke 6:41-42;] Trust in God and you will make it! An earthly go between is not necessary [ie., pastor, preacher, seminary graduate, friend, spouse or whomever]. Will that earthly go between stand beside you on judgment day? We do have an heavenly advocate in Jesus Christ. He is sitting at the right hand of God, right now. Trust in Him. Many deceive themselves in those things wherein they are willing to be deceived. What a man desires he easily believes. Is the Bible a book about saving your flesh or your spirit?I know God has a plan for me, but, I know not the plan, I merely accept it.How you answer the questions of God's existence will impact your relationship with others, your commitment to integrity, your attitude toward morality and your perception of truth. (Ravi Zacharias). I know God can heal me, I should never presume that He must. When asked the difference between Christianity and all other religions, a prominent preacher answered by saying, “You spell all other religions DO. You spell Christianity DONE.” All religions except Christianity require the believer to meet the requirements of righteousness through religious acts and habits—you must do certain things to earn your way into heaven. In Christianity, God has DONE all that is required for us to be righteous and to have eternal life through His Son, Jesus, the Christ. Politicians/governments don’t have any money of their own, they have to take it from one person to give it to another. “I have never in my life learned anything from any man who agreed with me.” (Dudley Field Malone) Transcendent: (GOD) existing apart from and not subject to the limitations of the material universe. “You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”. (John Lydgate)“A baby is God’s opinion that the world should go on.” (Carl Sandburg)“The less men think; the more they talk.” (L. deMontesquieu)The great hindrance to all true wisdom is the thought that we have already attained it (Plumptre). “The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge.” (Stephen Hawking)“I have never let my schooling interfere with my education.” (Mark Twain)Please print this out and share with others.
